It turns out that action star Ryan Reynolds may be just as dangerous off-screen as he is on.   Denzel Washington says that Reynolds gave him a black eye while they were filming Safe House in South Africa. 

“I’ve never had a black eye in my life!” Washington, 57, told reporters Saturday while promoting the film, which hits theaters Feb. 10. “There’s a scene where I reach over to try to choke him while I have handcuffs on. We were flying around in the car. It just happened that as I was reaching forward he was flying back … and POW.”

Is Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s relationship going to the dogs?

The duo have been getting serious over the past few months, but their two dogs — Penny, Blake’s Maltipoo, and Baxter, Ryan’s golden retriever mix — are causing relationship problems for the pair! According to The National Enquirer (via Celebitchy.com), Penny “is used to being the center of attention” and doesn’t like sharing Blake with Baxter.

“Penny is a real diva and is accustomed to getting her own way,” a source says. “She’s having a terrible time adjusting to Ryan and Baxter sharing her turf! Blake constantly spoiled Penny and made her the center of her world. Now, with Baxter as competition, she growls and bares her teeth whenever Blake pets or plays with Ryan’s pooch!”

At first, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively thought handling the dog squabbles would be good practice for when they have children. (After a few months, they’re already thinking about kids? Really?) But they might not get to that point.

“They both love to sleep with their dogs on the bed but Penny wants to be the only pooch in the room. She tries to scare Baxter away. Ryan and Blake spend so much time trying to break up the feuding dogs, when it’s time to go to bed they’re so exhausted the last thing they think of is romance.”

It’s really doubtful that Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are spending that much time breaking up dogfights. It is totally believable that Penny is a spoiled diva though. Little dogs tend to think they’re tough, so it wouldn’t be out of character for a tiny Maltipoo to try to dominate a big golden retriever. Hopefully it doesn’t get to the point where either Ryan or Blake has to decide between the relationship and the dog though. Shelters are crowded enough as it is. But it doesn’t sound like it will come to that. “Blake and Ryan are really in love…they just wish their four-legged friends would get along too!”

Awwww. I’m sure they can find a way to make it work. Maybe dog training would be a good solution. Good luck, guys!

If a picture is worth a thousand words this one speaks volumes. A photo of actor Ryan Reynolds and his Gossip Girl, Blake Lively, has surfaced on the Internet, providing a behind-the-scenes shot of the couple celebrating Thanksgiving with family and friends.

The picture of the lovebirds was posted online by a person known only as ‘dtheman24′ who was using the iPhone app Instagram.

The mystery person added the caption: ‘Thanksgiving dinner table! Johnson’s [sic] and Livelys.’
The snap was taken last month at the Johnson Mill Bed and Breakfast in Utah, which is owned by Lively’s sister Robyn, and her husband, actor Bart Johnson.The two couples are shown sitting at the table, on the side nearest the wall.

Johnson, 40, who appeared in the High School Musical films, is the third from the left. He is sitting next to his wife Robyn, who is next to the 24-year-old Gossip Girl star.
Reynolds, 35, is sitting on the other side of his girlfriend – his co-star in the Green Lantern.

The Hollywood couple were spotted kissing each other in Utah that weekend.

Johnson’s mother Charlene runs the bed and breakfast full-time but he owns it despite living in Los Angeles with his wife and three children.

The photograph of the celebrity couples surrounded by family and friends is a grainy one but it clearly shows a relaxed Lively and Reynolds.
The Canadian actor divorced actress Scarlett Johansson earlier this year, while his blonde girlfriend had a summer fling with J Edgar star Leonardo DiCaprio.

Blake and Ryan seem to be all over eachother the last couple of days. They were spotted getting a coffee together in NYC. They even went on a quick getaway a week ago to Utah. They’ve officially been together for about a minute (okay, 30 days) and lovebirds Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have already been spotted shopping for an apartment in Manhattan at Madison Square Garden earlier this month.

You must have heard.

No longer Leonardo DiCaprio or Scarlett Johansson-bound, the two were looking at a snazzy three-bedroom penthouse worth $4.35 million.

Too fast, too much?

The 24-year-old Gossip Girl has already introduced her Canadian Green Lantern chick-magnet co-star to her family, so it’s serious. While some online media (Gawker) headlined that the couple are having “the most boring love affair ever,” as they “do nothing but stay home and walk their dogs,” the two do find time to keep their relationship lively and delicious.

Already, they’ve been spotted eating at all kinds of restaurants. From an “intimate French feast” in Boston’s Back Bay area to cavier and oysters at L’Espalier.
